The Mittlere Br\u00fccke is one of the oldest Rhine crossings between Lake Constance and the North Sea. Walking on the Mittlere Br\u00fccke itself and exploring the promenade along the Rhine is a great place to enjoy the breeze and watch the city go by along the shore. On both sides of the bridge, down by the promenade, there are restaurants, bars, snack bars and some souvenir stores<\/p>\n<\/p>\n <\/div>\n

Jean Tinguely is one of the most celebrated artists from Basel. He was part of the Avant Guard movement in Paris, France. He is known for his moving kinetic art. As a young person, he was fascinated by machines, how they worked, and their sounds. As a result, the museum is filled with moving and many touchable works of art.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n <\/div>\n

If you walk on the Kleinbasel side of the Rhine, you will see people swimming or floating in the fast current of the Rhine. Anyone can swim, but I recommend you be a strong swimmer as the current is strong and there are no lifeguards on standby!
